Question

I got some 5x7s just the other day. I decided I was gonna just do the rear speakers until I had time to get all the wires for the amps ran. But, anyways when I insalled them they fit and bolt in but theres somewhat of a gap between the edge of the speaker and the opening. The back hardly puts out any bass at all, and I'm guessing its because of that. If this is the cause of the problem how would I go about sealing these up?

Thanks Chris

5x7's should be a direct fit...even if it was sealed 100% your not going to get very good bass from them.

Yes, the 5X7's should be a direct fit, but you won't get too good of bass from them. I have 6X8's, and they are pretty good, but you need to get component speakers like 6 1/2's to get good bass. Even better yet, get a sub!
