Post MB Quart Components....

The 6.5" component set (DSD216) is selling very cheap now if anyone is interested. I ordered from www.cbrstereo.com , but also saw them on Ebay in several places. Price is right at around $120.

Cool

Dude -

I thought you were unemployed ??

Ordering new speakers ??

I admire your priorities... Very similiar to my own !!

Seriously, are you going to make plates for them or what ??

If you plan on lining the doors with Dynamat, DON'T !! Get the mat from Rick @ RAAMmat. 62.5 sq. ft. for less than $100.00

Where are you planning on mounting the tweeters ??

Just curious, 'cause I'm not happy with where I mounted mine and want to change them.

LOL! No, not me. I'm afraid that I have to work every day. Only 16 more years and I can retire, but who's counting.

I plan to make either 1/4" or 1/2" MDF mounting plates for the mids in the stock location. I already have part of the doors deadened. I used some stuff from www.partsexpress.com . If I remember correctly, I paid about $40 and got enough to do the entire rear wall with leftovers for 10"x10" squares around the door speakers and the inside of my sub box.

A friend that works at a local car audio shop recommended mounting the tweets in the front pillars near the bottom, just above the curve, and facing the windshield. He claims that to be the "sweet spot" for the f150s. He says that the sound will bounce off the glass and raise the front stage up high. I will probably temporarily mount the tweets to see if I like them there.

Cool

Sorry for the employment confusion...

BTW, I received a flyer from Parts Express and they have "a limited number" of 10" MB Quart subs for sale @ $125 each. Supposedly they were originally in the range of $350.

If they work like the components I'm sure they're worth it...

Just thought you might like to know...

I haven't heard anything about the MB Quart subs. Don't know if they are good or not. I ended up buying a JL 10W3 for a good price and am going to give it a shot.
