last time i went up there it was hunting season so they would only let us ride on one side of the canal. Its mostly that thick black mud with a lot of sawgrass. I liked it except it was really hot.

I can do that. We'll have to get out early if I want to make it to work at 5. It's not a big deal if I have to take a day off though. They'll live lol.

Well I've been wanting to head out to Corbett for a while. Last time I was there was in April while camping. That's the best place to spend a day that I know of. Even if it's flooded or the trails are really nasty, you could easily spend a day just sightseeing, looking for gators, etc. Hopefully it'll be a little cooler then too.

Oh and copperhead's truck doesn't seem like it would be too thrilled about leaving the pavement

But I've got at least two other trucks that would come for sure (2wd Dakota and 4x4 F250) and maybe that guy from the off roading forum will meet up too.

Where exactly is "the hump"??? Is it the big open area SE of E Palm Dr (SW344 St) and S Palm Ave (Hwy 1)? Is it public/private/commercial/government? Is there a fee to wheel there it? Is there an official web page for it?

What's the trail-looking area SE of Hwys 41 & 997 (Krome & 8th) in Tamiami?

yea thats where the hump is. it runs back towards the race track, i think it is all private land, but no one really bothers u. i ride back there with my dirt bike, the trails are small, but it opens up in the back. never been on the 8th street trail, but i always see lots of trucks goin in and out.

ya you head down palm towards the race track then turn right just before that school and go down that road you can ride on both sides just dont ride on the farmers plantations or theyll get mad and dont start fires the cop will come real quick as for the small trails dont know where youve been ridin cause that place is huge. when you get off the strech headin north you can see some of it on the right before that gas station.
