As 5.4 Lariet stated before there is something unfortunately set in stone already. We will be having a meet and greet on June 23rd @ 6:30 pm located at Countyline Dragway. I know your quite a ways away, but if you can make it we would like to see you there. No worries though since there will be other meets.

Sorry i took so long to reply since i went away to Boston for Memorial Day Weekend. How was everybody else's weekend?

 

Hey Cooperhead welcome back! I was in the keys for the long weekend. IT was nice, good fishing. Did you get your truck back yet?

 

Yeah i have my truck back, but i's not fixed yet. I took it in and at first they told me the clamps on the heat shield over the catalytic were bad so they ordered the part the next day and they replaced them. But then they called me and told me that it was still making the noise so they ordered me a whole new catalytic converter !!! (Just like i originally predicted). Im still driving it because it's not really a probelm it's just that when im idling in drive it sounds like two metal pieces are hitting each other from inside the catalytic.

It's only a slight noise, but i shouldnt be making it. Im just waiting for them to call me and tell me the part is in.

 

I had a great weekend and a little more. I have spent the last two weeks in the midwest racing our Baja and Formula cars in Detroit, MI and Rapid City, SD in the SAE Collegiate Design Competition (www.usfracing.com). It was awesome, on Sunday we came back from 3 laps behind the leader to finish 2nd in the 4 hour endurance race. I leave for Rochester NY to race again next week. Then its party time at the County Line. See you guys there.

I hardly think two Zippo lighters and a bottle Bicardi 151 counts as a torch lol !

I actually just got the call from the service department and the new catalytic is in so ill be heading over there after i get off from work. So ill let you guys know if they fixed the problem.

Damn it Jhitti now i can't stop thinking about beer.

Got my truck back !! It ended up being that a small piece inside the catalytic broke and was partially blocking it. So now the truck runs just the way it should
