Cost to fix door/handles after being robbed

Hey guys,

Anyone tell me what they paid to have a door fixed after some a hole jimmied their door open underneath the door handle? They did both of my doors bending the sheet metal down, scraping the paint off etc. The sheet metal is bent about 3-6 inches around the hole they made.

Thanks

Mike

I feel for you buddy... Happend to me once when i went out of town. I was at a hotel and when i woke up and went o my car (not my F 150) some jerk had stuck what appeared to be a flat head screwdriver in my keyhole and ripped it completly off!!! I guess it depends on how much damage there was. My insurance paid for it all including the stuff they stole, but i do know mine was so bad they had to fix all the bends, repaint the door and new door handles with keys. About $1800 bucks and i re-iterate mine was bad so get an estimate because it aint going to be cheap.

Door handles

It would prob. be cheaper to go ahead and shave the door handles and just repaint! I feel for you. It sux to have something like this happen. I get so nervous at Hotels/Motels leaving my vehicle outside. Every noise wakes me up.
