Want to help & get paid to install a 6" lift in the Houston area?
Hey Houston members,
I just came up on a good deal for 6" suspension lift that I'd like to put on my '11 FX2. Instead of paying someone to do it entirely and me not gain any kind of knowledge into suspension (I'm a total newb), I would prefer to pay someone to help me and give me some guidance! It can be done at your place or mine, doesn't matter. I don't have all of the tools required, so that might be an issue. I am a Houston firefighter, so I have plenty of off time on the weekends or weekdays. I live in Bellaire near the Galleria. Shoot me an e-mail at HOOPSboy7@gmail.com or send me a PM.
Thanks

Patman,
That's the problem. I called Rough Country directly and they couldn't tell me anything. The seller said he called a friend of his at Pro Comp who told him that it will not be a problem if he added a spacer inside the coilover (not sure of the technical name). I was discouraged when Rough Country, the manufacturer of the kit, couldn't even tell me about it's own product.

I am in Katy. Let me know if you need help getting this install lined up. Check out my ad on CL "Lift Kit Installations" for more of my info.
I flipped through the RC instructions. Other than the hub assembly possibly not being compatible, I can't see any reason why this 4wd kit would not work on a 2wd. You could easily test this before going too far into the installation; i.e., remove the hub and test fit on the new spindle before removing anything on your truck.
I install a lot of RC products. They make nice stuff overall, and have great prices.
Are you buying the kit new or used?
I might be able to beat the deal you are getting on the kit...let me know if you want a quote from me.
