I will explain myself one time because we are all intelligent here. That's because there are no Shovie drivers! LOL!
I DID check that other site out. As I said, I registered there before I knew of the conflict. Having learned about this difficulty I have chosen to remain with this site because of the quality of the content, the friendliness of the members & the help I have received here. Even before I became the proud owner of my truck everyone here was helping me find the right one & steering me away from bad deals. This is the kind of friendship money can't buy but comes only from sincerity.
Here's a few anologies that may help anyone who is unclear about Steve's decision. If I lend my truck to someone & they have an accident or commit a crime I AM RESPONSIBLE! If they have no license I AM RESPONSIBLE! If I am a passenger in a car & the police try to pull it over & the DRIVER takes them on a high speed chase, when they are apprehended I AM EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE! I think it's called "guilt by association" or something similar. If anyone here is a lawyer maybe they can tell me the proper term. At any rate I am held responsible for the actions of someone else.
That is pretty much the position Steve would be in if he allows the website name to be used in connection with any of the chapters. He is not leting "select" chapters use it & disallowing others! He CAN'T allow it for obvious reasons!
Let me pose a question to the Texas Chapter members. Can I start a chapter here in Buffalo & call it the TEXAS chapter? Can the NJ Chapter call themselves the Buffalo Chapter? No way! Why would they want to? Each chapter would understandably want to be known by their OWN names & not anothers or allow anyone else to use their name! That's only fair & logical! If you disagree then I will start a Buffalo chapter but call it the Texas Longhorn's since I love cows so much. Wanna bet I end up in court being sued by YOUR group?! Of course I would! And you would be RIGHT in getting angry! If you think I'm wrong, watch for a new chapter - I'll do it simply to prove a point!
Steve NEVER said local areas couldn't form chapters & I don' think he said you couldn't LINK to his site. All he said was you can't call yourselves what you aren't & you aren't F150online. If the day ever comes when we can pass ourselves off as another identity I PROMISE you - there WILL be another Pamela Lee Anderson! And it will be ME! LOL! But till then I am just Cowlady! And being me is just fine FOR me!
I am sorry this is so long but I had to explain why I have logically chosen to stay with this site.
As for the offer of help Mumbly - if it looks like we will be able to meet I will galdy ask for advice & tips. I have learned just today I may be out of a job in the next few months as we are merging again! Every time my employer "grows" they cut the staff severly because they can't afford us anymore! The entire Pharmacy department is in danger of being closed. If that happens I doubt I can go because I will either be looking for a job or will have HOPEFULLY just started a new one. I will have to play things by ear for awhile & see what happens.
Thanks everyone for letting me add my explanation. I hope I haven't offended ANYONE as I know there are many nice people at both sites. I look forward to the day when we can all be friends again!

I just checked over my post & realized I picked a heck of a post to follow! By the time you guys are done viewing those pics, NOBODY will read my post! All that work for naught! LOL!
BTW - SS97FORD - I clicked your links & I must say THANKS! You are truly in the right spirit by posting them, especially the one from the Canadian site - I hadn't seen that one before! I also noticed your other links brought me back here - a noble & generous gesture! I mean that! I do have a question though - what do you mean you have a 4X2 with 4X4 wheels? As a new truck owner I am constantly learning & never heard of that so forgive my asking what may be an obvious question! Are 4X4 wheels stronger? Larger? Both? I was just curious.
Thanks for your open & honest posts. i hope someday we can meet & show off our trucks!

Cowlady...
What do you mean I said I have a 4x2 with 4x4 wheels ? I don't. I'm not sure where you saw that ?
I have aftermarket Centerline wheels on my truck.
Yes, you can buy 4x4 specific wheels that are stronger due to the nature of intended use.
I too, hope all this mess will settle down one day & we can all get along...

Here in Buffalo, when the cops pull a car over, every occupant gets arrested & hauled away. The only reason I know this is because of a controversy when a woman was arrested because her boyfriend had picked her up from work, ran a red light with a cop watching then tried to flee. Seems he'd lost his license due to MANY DWI's & tried to flee to escape detection. He finally got pulled over & BOTH were arrested. She went to jail too until she could prove her innocence. She then tried to sue the police but the story was dropped after that so I don't know what happened with it. I've seen it happen often - all the people in a car get arrested. Maybe thta's just a Buffalo thing - we do alot of non sensical things here.
That's a nice police car! One of our towns uses Crown Vic's & the neighboring town uses Monte's. I'd LOVE to see them race & see which cruiser wins! IMHO - the Crown Vic will blow the Monte off the road!

Talk to you soon, probably with another question! LOL!

I don't care that much either way about what has happened or will happen between these two sites...I know which one I like the best.....I was a member of another site(and still visit there on occasion) it's called ford-trucks.com....
It's not quite as flashy as f150online,but
covers "all" ford trucks regardless of year.
It also has its share of troublemakers, every site does....As all here know. I for one am sincerely glad that this site exists,it has helped me immensely since I joined earlier this year.
Everybody just step back and think before you hit the submit button, and everything will turn out for the best,,,,,,,98
Isn't everyone as happy as me that the
locox lightning/lariat loser finally got tired and went away????????LOL.
