Webmail Service To Be Terminated February 1st, 2004

IMPORTANT! Effective February 1, 2004 we will be discontinuing the F150online Webmail service. If are unable to login to your account to retrieve messages, please contact admin@ownersite.com with your complete Webmail address (i.e. hoss54@f150guy.com) AND password, along with a forwarding email address and we will forward your messages to that address until February 1st, 2004. No requests for forwarding will be honored without all of the information requested above. After February 1st, 2004 all Webmail accounts will be removed and the service turned off. Please note that this change applies only to Webmail, your forum access and access to the remainder of the site will remain as is. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but due to administrative overhead, recent abuses and overall lack of utilization of this feature, we have decided to eliminate it.

Steve, this may be a stupid question so please forgive me if it is. Currently, if members allow it in their profiles, people can email one another. Is that separate from the “Webmail” you’re talking about? In other words in the users profile where it states “Click here to email -----“ will that function still be available?

That's right. Webmail is a standalone application that provided "vanity" email addresses and has nothing to do with the email functionality found on the forums. Very good question.
