Leaving in the morning...hope it clears by then. Heading to League City so I usually take 146 over the Kemah bridge and turn right. Only about a 5 hr drive running the limit.

The finished project...added 2 ft to the slab all around plus an additional walkway from my carport area. All I need now is a load of dirt to fill in around the slab edges.

Rented a 2015 corolla and OMG this has to be the worst driving car ever! I thought the focus was bad until this thing. It just hangs at high rpm and doesn't really go anywhere. Best thing about the car is the back up camera is pretty cool

I think they're kind of sharp-looking little cars, but I've never driven one -- are they CVT......???

Yes it's definitely CVT. Every rental I have got from enterprise is usually really nice. This one is trashed out, Knicks, dings, scratches. Inside is stained and has cig burns in the passenger seat. I kept pointing out everything to the lady and she kept saying regular wear and tear. Then said it was a airport rental at one time, so I guess those are the more used cars. It has 27k on it

For 2016

Edmunds Summary Review of the 2016 Toyota Corolla SedanBEdmunds Rating

If you're looking for a small sedan that competently covers all the basics, the 2016 Toyota Corolla may be just right for you. We've found it doesn't inspire much excitement, but its sensible blend of fuel economy and value are definitely appealing. Take a closer look at the newest Toyota Corolla.

See Edmunds Rating BreakdownŽ

Pros

For its size, the Corolla has a lot of rear legroom; the LE Eco model's high fuel economy; the infotainment interface has user-friendly controls; you get a lot of standard equipment for your money; pleasant ride quality on the highway and in the city.

Cons

Acceleration is slower than its main rivals; many of the latest accident avoidance features aren't available; fails to inspire much driving excitement; L trim comes with an outdated four-speed automatic transmission.
For 2017 [from Car and Driver]

Think of the Corolla as the default setting of cars: It meets the needs of most people with space, power, and features, but it is bland and boring. On the upside, it has the Toyota reputation for reliability. The base engine is a 132-hp four-cylinder with a four-speed automatic or an optional CVT. There is a Sport model with a six-speed manual, but it is sporty in name only; an Eco model has 140 hp and a CVT. A mildly updated Corolla goes on sale later this year, but with the same powertrains.
