Let's start over......
My daughter wanted it, she grew up when I was restoring Mustangs and she helped me set it up at car shows. Her husband has little interest, it needed to be restored again, the engine needed detuning to be driven much, and they had no place to keep it. The guy I sold it to knew the car from 50 years ago, had always wanted it and would restore it correctly. My daughter is still mad about it but I could not have watched what would have happened to it.

Actually working on a side job 2010 Edge with a leaking water pump. 11.4 hrs it's behind the timing cover. And the best part is when it leaks it dumps coolant down into the oil pan, so the engine might not even be any good after all this
Had to replace the alternator on her Escape about a week ago -- was going to do that myself here in the garage until I found out what a PIA it was to get to.....

That's the 3.5L that's the only engine available in the Edge until 2012? When they added the 3.7L Sport variant. And then they went to optional 2.0L EB in 2013 or 2014 maybe.
After getting it completely apart, it's bearing failure, and subsequently seal failure, or maybe reverse order.
Ford actually designed it to have an external weep hole. So I'm not sure how I'm getting coolant in the oil......
The W/P body itself is double sealed, so I think it would take a lot for it to go through there down into the oil pan?
I'll keep my fingers crossed she didn't warp the headgaskets. I've already advised her it's probably time to let it be someone else's problem with other potential engine damage resulting from water in the oil.

Hopefully she doesn't have a big note on it yet and is stuck between a rock and a hard place as far as replacing it is concerned......
Park this thing in your garage right next to Jim's freshly restored Mustang and you'd have a pretty sweet pair of rides to have fun with:
