Nice setup. I like it.

 

I had Hellwig progressive helper springs on my 98 scab, was the best thing I ever did.

 

How's the ride quality? Did you have to remove bump stops?

 

Rides fine as before. Have not put a load on it yet, but so far liking them.

The bump stop is on the inside of the springs, so no issue there.

Just a quick update as I finally got to tow the trailer with the new setup and all I can say is why did I wait so long to do this!

The ride was so much smoother than with the OEM setup. The new shocks really make a difference there.

The overloads did well too. Kept the truck from sagging initially and when I put the bars on, brought it back to within 1/2" of it's unloaded height.

The front was within 1/4" of it's unloaded height too. Not bad for my having done a 1.5" "Level" on the front.

So, have at me, rip into it or ask questions if interested.

I like how they can be adjusted to not alter empty ride height yet assist with loads.

 

Yes, I plan on tightening them up just a tad bit after this first run. While they did well, I think I can do a bit better. It already reduced the sag by 1" when dropping the tongue weight of the trailer alone. The only reason I want to tweak them a bit more is there is some rattle on the brackets when hitting a bigger bump, which means the brackets could be a bit tighter.
