Throttle position sensor

This is my first post and I've looked everywhere to try and find it, but I can't find where the throttle position sensor is on my 2006 with the 4.2 any help is greatly appreciated

Thank you for that, guy at the parts store sold me something totally different and I had no clue.

I have another question about the sensor. My truck will almost stall out and when coming to a stop and while just coasting. I've change the spark plugs and wires, Fuel filter, and cleaned off the air filter. Could this sensor have something to do with that?

and when the truck is idling at about 500 rpms which seems low to me. What should it be idling at?

Probably not. Usually, that symptom, along with the low idle speed, are symptoms of a significant vacuum leak.

It had one pending code and it was P0506 which was idle lower than expected and it said idle air control, does the 2006 F150 have an idle air control valve?

No, it's all handled by the electronic throttle body. You may have to replace it. Those aren't cheap.

Well the sensor will be here tomorrow I'll do
an update after I replace it and let you know if it fixed it or not

I cleaned the throttle body really good with cleaner and replaced the sensor and the truck isn't stalling or sputtering anymore and it's idling at a little under a thousand so it fixed my problem. Any one attempting this make sure you don't tighten the bolts to the sensor to tight because if you do nothing when will happen when you hit the gas, just loosen the bolts and you should be good to go
