We must be in a drought...no rain yet today!

Saturday I took my daughters Nissan in to get serviced. Left my truck and keys with her in case she had to use it. My soon to be 16 yr old grandson offered to wash it for me while it was there. After doing a good job on it I pulled out a Jackson to pay him with but he refused to take it saying I'm always picking him up at school for band and so forth and this wash was free. Getting ready to leave he says he wants to come and spend the night and do some yard work for the wife. I agree and then let him drive back to my house...he's always driven slow and very carefully so when he got on a straight stretch of road I told him to floor it and hang on. When the turbo's kicked in about 40 mph it threw both of us back in the seats and his facial expression was priceless. We got home and my neighbor was checking out his '04 Lightning so Dylan and myself walked over and he got to see the 5.4 supercharged engine. Needless to say he's now back wanting a F-150 when he gets out of school. We spent 2 hrs looking at turbo's and superchargers after on the computer and how they work.

That's awesome, get him in a Ford for his first vehicle and chances are he will stick with em. I was brought up in a Ford family, first truck was a Ford and always had a Ford in the driveway.

BTW I bet that Platnium eb will keep up with the lightning pretty well. I know with a tune it would be quicker. Pretty impressive how these trucks have came along in 15 years

Even though he's got a learners permit he can't get his regular license until next month...he already has a 2007 Pathfinder that he's been practicing in but likes their F-250 and my F-150 more since he's a big kid...6'-1" and over 300 lbs. I doubt if my truck can keep up with the Lightning since it ran high 11's at over 120 mph

Here's my neighbors truck that my grandson likes. It had a 6 speed Viper tranny but they went back to an automatic recently. Hope he doesn't mind me posting this.

As you can see the Lightning is right across from me. Sounds great when he cranks it up.

Lots of race cars for a small populated area Pat. Didn't know you had seen this one being built.
