My trucks journey
I agree. I only have the edge since it was local and cheap.
I enjoy your thread, really taking care of your vehicle great to see. I wish I had the funds right now to order everything mine needs, Im a perfectionist when it comes to stuff, I hate having a tire out of balance or the slightest brake shutter.
Well today I installed brand new ball joints, shocks, sway bar links, upper a arms and a leveling kit. The stock 154k mi front suspension was horribly wore out and wearing down the inside edge of my tires.
Here's what I ordered and installed:
Moog K80149 lower ball joints x2
Moog K80308 upper a arm x1
Moog k80306 upper a arm x1
Bilstein 4600 #24109345 front shocks x2
Unknown brand, free 2.5" leveling kit
Generic sway bar end links with zerk fittings x2
With all the right parts and tools, it took about 3 hours.

Pretty straight forward job. No issues with anything. It's a world of difference. The truck handles so much better now. I plan on getting an alignment this week. I think I'm going to order rear shocks soon, to complete the package.
I have to take a pic of the truck leveled and ill post it up.

Been awhile since an update. Im approaching 200k miles on stock engine and tranny! Truck is running great, but its time for some more maintenance. This go round im going to replace the waterpump, t-stat, belt, idlers, hoses, tierod ends, and shes ready for another set of tires. Im also thinking of doing the timing chains, guides, and everything related. My phasers do not make any noise, should i do them while im there doing the chain? What is your opinions?
Just an update. Hit 237,000 miles. Original engine and tranny. No major failures. Just did my second plug change and no breaks! Used an impact gun. Truck is running great

Love them F-sides! I'm guessing the molded floor mats finally laid flat?
Very well! Its been a great truck. Yes the mats finally laid down after a week and a half. Wise investment for anyone who wants to protect the factory carpet
