Difference in performance programmers

Is there a difference in the performance programmers such as hypertech, superchips, banks, or diablo?

I'm just sure which to get from these and they all seem to be the same performance and tuning wise.

They all do basically the same thing, some better than others. They modify the program in the truck's computer. There are differences in all of them. You also need to look at Edge and Gryphon. Your best bet would be to do Advanced Searches using each name and see what you get to read. Lots of info out there. Also, read the sticky threads at the top of the Tuner Forum.

I've owned a hypertech max energy and edge evolution for my truck and the edge was by far better than the hypertech. I have an SCT for my car and its a great tuner also. The edge and sct can be custom tuned which is a big plus when get your vehicle dynoed or just wanting a mail order tune. The edge and sct also allow for custom settings changes like timing, wot fuel adjustments, electric fan adjustments, data logging and a bunch of other stuff. I would personally take a gryphon or edge over the sct cause of the guages but edge doesn't make a handheld for mustangs.

Yeppers.....everyone is entitled to their own feed back.
Especially when the stickys do not cover those tuners that you have a link to.......So I do sympathize with ya.....

Personally I would spend approx hundred more and get a SCT xcal3 with custom tunes from VMP and wouldn't look back.....IMO

so if I have questions about information on that thread where would you like me to ask my question? In that locked thread? sure that makes total sense.

If you read the stickies and then have questions, you are doing it correctly. It's just that so many don't want to take the time to do a little research and want to be bottle fed. Fire away with youir questions.
