crimp bent? im sorry. theres part of your problem. the exhaust flow is not flowing as well as it should and is being blocked by the ripples in the piping.

07FX4 it sounds like you got a bad deal with how they did that for you.. I think you found some issues already that are causing your problem take it back to where you had it done.

Most of the time some of the problems can be corrected with a high flow intake as well.

what really cracks me up is that the individuals who harp on magnaflow is the best use the dyn o results that also shows borla XSPro's outperforming the magnaflows but they conviently forget about that info, the same company dyno the X and H pipes and showed that the H pipe was a better option for under 3500 rpms but that info is also conviently forgotten about in order to continue the craze of "blacked out" trucks with X-pipes and magnaflows

in reality at the minimal power levels majority of you at you should be more concerned with what sounds good to you as you are the one who has to drive your truck daily...

this thread and others like it is the reason this site is going downhill, people should be more concerned with preserving the American tradition of Hot Rodding vs bashing something that isn't done "my way"

Anytime you go to a more free flowing exhaust from the factory setup you'll lose a little low end torque. Even more so if you increase pipe diameter all the way out. Decreasing back pressure results in a loss of low end torque. Oversimplified, but true. If you had a 1000 hp and 800 ft·lb on tap, it ain't gonna matter, but with a factory motor with a couple hundred hp, you're gonna notice the difference. It seems to me "crimp" or full dia. mandrel bends on an exhaust with the stock engine won't make that much of a difference. Technically measurable, but not very noticeable.

well said jerame. bunch of women, i mean little girls, on this site sometimes. tryin to make their point and say there setup is "better". some people have the mentality of a 5th grader "i know mines better because I said so"

and this doesnt apply to everyone, but it's usually the new people that come on this site thinking they know everything about everything, from exhaust to how to take apart and rebuild a motor.
