I just want to take a moment to pay homage to this post. It was quite possibly the most helpful post to almost everyone on this site. It's almost six years old and it's still being used today. I'm actually going to reuse it this week to remove what I put in there four years ago. I'll bet it's the longest running post in the '04-'08 forum.

No kidding! I was just saying how I could have used this a week ago and was reading through some of the posts, and bam! There was a post from me 3 or 4 years ago. In fact Im gonna re-route my ipod hook up to the center console from the glove box now. Thanks - AGAIN!

EDIT - 5.5 Years Ago

I just ordered a JVC112C3159 - FM TRANS/SWITCH to hard wire my JVC cradle to the radio on my 04 Lariat, it has the single CD with (I believe) an unused AUX button Radio head unit.

Should there be any issues simply 'plugging it in' to the aux line in on the back and then selecting "AUX" to listen to the Sirius receiver through the radio?

I'll be using these awesome directions as well

Environmental Control Flashing - F150 EATC

Thank you for posting these photos. My wife found this post when trying to troubleshoot a problem with the AC console that started to flash and would not respond. A couple of posters on another board suggesting disconnecting the environmental control and so I needed the instructions on how to get to the back to disconnect it. The photos and instructions on how to remove the center console panel on this thread was perfect. Thank you. Disconnecting and reconnecting the EATC worked! Saved me time and money taking my "Bella" to the dealership for a diagnostics!

If you're having the same symptoms with your AC console where it starts to flash and make a funny dull intermittent click noise, try disconnecting and reconnecting it first before taking it to the shop. The instructions here will help you get to the cables on the back.

PS: For reference, I have a 2004 F150 V8 5.4 ltr Supercrew.

great thread!

the pics were tremendously helpful, but, I have an '08 King Ranch taht came with the Factory Sirius radio and I've got a XM hookup (XMD1000 + XMForD100) and although the harness works great, and all hooks in fine, I"ve got the connector to the Sirius radio left over, and the radio doesn't recognize that a satellite radio is even installed.

Any tips, tricks, hints or "try this idiot!"s will be greatly appreciated.
