The picture is worth a thousand words.
It's a chip enclosed in a plastic case. with two leads connected to the chip Looks like a resistor pack.

It works great for stealing your money. It is just a resistor.

No Norm, it's like i.ride.suzuki says. You buy two and wire them in series. That way you save 6-12mpg and gain 100hp!

Exactly, if you wire them in parallel you get the same gains as a single unit. I recommend only use 2 units MAX. As 3 units in series may risk harming your engine due to the increase of power, you may bend some pushrods.

yeah i made the mistake of putting 3 in series and my truck started to smoke really bad then it stalled, the shop said it not only bent the push rods but also blew the carb and i needed all of that replaced, it ended up being like $8,000 to fix

I think I'm gonna go home and crack open my edge to see if they use the same resistors?

They really do work. You have to remember to do the throttle to the floor trick before initial start up after install to calibrate everything. This one of the best mods to a carbed pushrodded 5.4 besides a throttle body spacer I've read about....through a guy I know.....who's got a friend.....

Now Norm, this is the dirty little secret Big Oil does not want spread around! Wiring 7 in series causes your engine to produce gasoline! If everyone did this, they'd be out of business.

But, you have to be careful - either install an expanding gas tank or siphon off the surplus and sell it to your neighbors! (That's what I do).

And, you have to be careful that the IRS doesn't get wind of your "enterprise". Since you're "bootlegging" gas, they could be after you.

Also, as i.ride.suzuki pointed out, you're going to have to restrict your accelerator pedal to about 1mm of movement, or everything will sort of "blow up".

How many of you Floridians have loaded your guns into your trucks, and are driving up to Georgia to defend Atlanta from the Russians?
