I'm not sure, maybe because being these new vehicles are all fully electronic, maybe the throttle position sensor or whatever is integrated in the throttle body isn't replaceable as part of the TB any more. All I know is they said they found some weird things (specifically the fact the signal was out of spec) with the TB when they ran diagnostics on it, and replaced it.

I guess mine are all wrong. I registered and insured my truck BEFORE I started modding it.

I'm sorry I was never in a hurry to fill the governator's pockets with "change" to him, but a fortune to me (little exxaggeration).

I find your constant whacks at the governor odd. Arnold got in because he promised to reduce car registration by 75%.
Which he did his first week in office.
Your registration under Davis (the governor we recalled and replaced with Arnie) would have been over 4000 bucks.

On topic, I get a little idle variance, 650-695 waver, but it seems to be fuel blend related. You might try different brand gas. Couldn't hurt.

Could be a bad fillup, definitely will keep that in mind on next fillup. I'd sell the truck if it was 4k.

It was easier to ditch the governor.
The last year of Davis my wife's car was 4500. My truck was going to be 2600, but they dropped it to 500.

Yeah, but standing in line at the tag office doesn't make very exciting video for all your f150online buddies to watch...

No kidding. I used to think ours was kind of high at $78.

In the 70's about 1,000,000 Californians had cars/trucks especially motorhomes, registered in Oregon. Cost about 14 bucks. Then they passed a law against it. Then they started enforcing the law.

And then in 2002 ol' Gray Davis quadrupled the already highest annual registration in the country.
Then we replaced him.
These things work out...

I believe the surging is getting worse. It now does it in neutral like CRAZY. Even in reverse it was doing it. I really need to get this fixed, it's not my intake from what I can see. Throttle body it must be, I'd really hate to take it in, anyway to verify if it's the throttlebody.

My truck has a surge that is associated with low speeds. Down around 15 mph and 1000rpms. If I hold the gas pedal steady my engine has maybe about a 200rpm surge up and down. Like I said it's only noticable at slow speeds.

Only $35.50 to register my truck in Texas. Couldn't imagine paying those registration fees that you guys out in Cali have to deal with. Texas lets a working man keep most of what we earn.

Pay attention to this thread because if there is a fix in the future posted here you might be interested. I used to have it exactly as you say but it has worsened and it's about 500rpm surges at some points, I'll get a video as it's clearly audible and visible on the RPM gauge. Like what you said about Texas letting you keep what you earn.

I just found a fix. Adjust the TPS on the throttle body. Can anyone verify if the voltage needs to be the same as in that thread with the old 2v (.995 volts or thereabouts) and if the technique is the same? It's supposed to cure the surging.

Does it do it both with the AC on and off..mine has done this very mildly since day one with the AC off. Turn it on and it goes away. I fixed it by leaving the AC on.
Seriously I carried it in and showed the dealer what it was doing back right after I bought the truck and got the "Ford is working on a fix" speach, after that I relized it only did it with the AC off so I didn't worry about it. Actually I need to see if its still doing it...I haven't even tried it since I bought my tuner.
