Sirius for $194... WTF

Soooo.... Sirius took it upon themselves to renew my subscription for 194.60/yr. I had the $77 previously and they were suppose to suspend my subscription until I returned from my deployment. I finally had a chance to call and talk to them and they quickly canceled my account. They didn't even bother to offer me any kind of discount, "thats our best offer" is the response I got. Ok I think I am done ranting...

I payed $27.69 with tax for 5 months of Sirius last week for my 2011 Taurus. XM has been the same for 5 months for my GM product.

Hard drive? I remember a friend of mine actually had a PC in his trunk for his music.

I just keep my music on the iphone.

Doesn't the Sync system come with a USB (and there's some 2nd hidden USB)? Can a standard flash drive be used for music? I do that in my other two vehicles and 16GB holds a lot of music!

Yes... Yes... (search USB 2) and Yes... I have used a thumb drive a time or two.

Recently I have been using my phone and Google Music or Pandora streaming through bluetooth.

Got my truck this past week and I am doing the same. Flash drive and Pandora via BT works great. I'll have to check out Google Music. I wish there was some way to access my Amazon Cloud via a software player like Cloud Player but nothing available that I am aware of.

I use pandora off my phone and use the aux port. Then if I get a call its hands free. I like it better than the sirius. and if they have a commercial to tell you its commercial free, they just sound stupid.

I usually pay $4 a month ($20 for 5 months) for my sat radio. Cancel it and see how fast they offer a deal.

I paid $300 for lifetime service in 2008 -> the only way Sirius will get a single dime from me is if they'll offer lifetime for $250 today...

Streaming music (Pandora, Iheartradio, etc) will be the end of them if they don't lower their prices.

Hold your ground... don't spend a dime with these jerks.
