Sirius Radios only take less them 5 minutes to activate, but the Sirius unit needs to be on when they send the activation signal. That is kinda weird that it was not turned on and what info did u give Sirius? The reason I ask is because when we bought my wifes Ford Edge I didnt even have the Sirius SID# until Sirius sent it to me in the mail after about 3 months. In my wifes car the Sirius worked when we pulled off the lot, I think it was turned on when installed. If it is a brand new car you get 6 months free and the $15.00 activation free waived. After the Vehicle is sold, Ford contacts Sirius and that is when your 6 months starts.

fasteddy,
I think you should take it back to the dealer. I also just purchased an '08 F150(one month ago) and Sirius was working even when I test drove it (a selling point for the dealer) -- so it must be a dealer thing.

I think you should take it back to the dealer. X2
It should have already been set up with three months free and Sirius will mail you further info. My Mustang was already set up. My advice if you are keeping the truck go for a long contract over a short one. Once you have Sirius you won't go back. Had to buy units for my other vehicles after I got a taste. LOL

I just need to find the time to take it back to the dealer, There about an hour away.
I called my local dealer and the guy that I talked to was pretty much a ****, Because I didn't buy the truck there.
It's not my fault they didn't have any trucks to choose from. Right?

check your antenna wiring it runs under the passenger dash and is a white cable, you can easily see if when you remove of stick your head under the glovebox. no signal sounds like a antenna or satellite radio module problem.

I had my wife take it in yesterday and first the said that they were going to have to order in a radio and she would have to come back, but we are over a hour away so I talked them into taking one out of another truck. Well my wife called me back and said that it ended up just being an antenna.

So it is working now and it was just a simple antenna.
Thanks.
