Sirius help
I have an 05 F150 with the oem radio. It is a 6 disc unit non audiophile. I was wondering what is the best way to get sat radio. I prefer the look of the oem radio over aftermarket. Can I just get a factory radio with sirius capability and just swap it out with my radio or will that work? I would like to still be able to use my steering wheel controls. If I have to I will buy a sirius radio from radio shack but I would prefer to use the factory radio.

Me too. You need a PIE adaptor to attach to the back of your factory radio, and a cord to connect to your Sirius radio. There is a discussion over here https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=314488 that explains what you need and where to get it.
You can buy the factory satellite receiver kit. You do not have to replace the Head Unit. The only difference will be that you will have to find a place to mount the antenna differently than that of the factory installed. I helped a friend install a factory satellite complete system in his '07 STX and it works like it would have if it had been factory installed.
