Yesterday, I bought a '97 F-150 4.2L long bed. Today, I'm reading about door cracks and head gasket problems. Hmmm... Before I sealed the deal with the local Ford dealer, I asked about recalls. His response was, "... all recalls are checked against a truck when it's traded in. Any outstanding recall repairs are then performed before the truck is put back on the lot for resale." Is there a location (website or other) that I can view recall info against my new used truck?
