CC Fix?
If yours has not been recalled, there is no need to fix it unless the switch has failed and is leaking. The recalled vehicles do not have a fuse to protect the wiring in the event of a short, causing the wiring to heat up and start a fire. The non-recalled vehicles have a fuse in that circuit to protect it.
To answer your question, the new switch is available from Ford for $15. It does not fix anything in your case, simply replaces a pressure switch with one of a different design.

'CC' is a pretty common descriptor in the automotive world.

For the same reasons ANY vehicle can catch fire.... dropping a lit cigarette between the seats, parking over brush without a heat shield on the cats, parking it in a garage which catches fire, fuel vapors in the wrong place at the wrong time..... short in an unrelated wiring harness under the hood..... so far there has been no conclusive evidence to link the alleged faulty switches to the other fires. I've heard of claims by fire investigators, but they're not engineers, and I don't see how they could determine the ignition source from a pile of ashes and rubble that's been thoroughly power-washed by a fire hose. (ever seen one after it's burnt to a crisp?)
Is it possible that the 15A fuse in some vehicles can't protect from arcing that causes the fluid to ignite? Sure. That's why we're investigating it. All we know for sure at this point is that the ones that are recalled do not have a fuse to protect the wiring from a melt-down should it short out. The rest is all speculation at this point.
As I said before, if it makes you feel better, change it, fuse it, disconnect it, park it in front of the neighbor's house, or whatever it takes to make you happy.

CC /Brake Kit Fixed Now CC Light on Panel doesn't work
I fixed my "at risk" Brake sensor switch with the new part last week.
Problem now is the CC Light on the Dash Panel doesn't come on when you turn on the CC.
Any ideas out there?
Thanks.
