F150 vs. XTerra - 1/4 Mile Question
Here's the deal. The other day a friend and I were talking about 1/4 mile times for the F150. Both of us have '07 F150s; mine has the 4.6L and his has the 5.4L. He said that a friend of his has a ’02 Nissan Xterra with the supercharged V6 motor and that the guy was saying that he raced an F150 one day and won. His friend said that he wanted to go out to the track and run both our trucks to prove he could take both V8s. My friend is convinced he’d still come out on top despite the fact he’s running a stock 5.4L and going against a SC’ed 6 with some minor bolt-ons. My truck only has a SI/DO custom mandrel bent exhaust with an 18” Maggie and a K&N replacement filter. If I remember correctly, I think the ’02 SC’ed Xterras had a HP rating of a little over 210. TQ was decent, but I remember some articles saying that it was still a little underpowered. My friend’s friend never told him what he ran at the track, so it’s kind of hard to judge whether or not he has something that could truly take the 5.4 and my 4.6. What do you all think? Anybody had some experience with the SC’ed Xterras?

hhmm..my buddy has an 02 SCed exterra and we raced it vs my 00 ford expedition with procharger.the expy itself weighed 5600LBS...5800lbs with me in it.
result....i let him take the jump and about 30-40ft,i started to pull hard.after that he shut it down when he hit 70MPH and i pulled about 1 1/2 car length and still pulling

Those older Xterras, even the supercharged ones aren't very fast at all. But the newer 4.0L are pretty quick.
Unless his bolt-ons have increased his boost charge lbs, It shouldn't be much faster. But then again, the heavy F150 even with a 5.4L isn't fast either.
So probably a driver's race.
