Actually, what is happening does not involve the file itself, rather the name of the file that Internet Explorer on the Mac give it. It adds extra characters to the end of the filename that wreak havoc with the particular code that I use on the back-end. I am not giving up...I am pausing to feed my 6 week old for a bit though...and will resume in the a.m. Thanks for attempts!!!

Can you, as the webmaster, get into the files I've uploaded? What I'm wondering is if you can see them, or if you can see why I can't.
No, I see exactly what you see. The code does actually upload the file, but then cannot figure out what to do with it once it is there...

Hey, after all you've done, the least I could do is to install Netscape (although I really don't like it, but I'll probably only use it to load pics). Would this work?

Talk to you soon.

Take care,
-Chris

It's worth a shot...you may want to try Opera as an alternative...small, quick, lots of features and gaining momentum amongst the anti-Microsoft folk... http://www.opera.com/mac/

Okay, I am now using Opera. Now when I log in, it takes on the first attempt, but after I select a picture to upload, and then click on add photo (or whatever the words are, to the left of the browse button, below the picture title box), I get what follows (I have omitted the form letter opening paragraphs for your convenience).

Also, does this mean it would be a waste of time trying Netscape, or do you still want me to?

Sorry, I picked up a contract development job a couple of days ago that will last a few days (read: paying work) so I have not had the time to look into the gallery problem. If you have a high speed connection, it would be worth giving Netscape a shot and let us know what happens...

Oh sure, throw the old "money card" into the ring. I see how you are.

Okay, I'll try Netscape. Hopefully today. I'll let you know what happens.

Thanks again.

Take care,
-Chris

Well Steve, that did it. Installing Netscape, and uploading my pictures from there worked flawlessly. See for yourself:

My Gallery

Thanks again for your patience. You might want to advise any Mac users to use Netscape to add photos to a gallery. The software that I am using, that worked, is OS X 10.1.4 & Netscape 6.2.2.

Take care,
-Chris

Exclamation

Whew, I thought it was only me, LOL! I'm posting this reply through Netscrape, and I'm going to attempt to upload pics again. The only problem now is that I've used IE so long, that my Netscape is version 4.0 or something like that, hehehe. I tried d/ling 6.0, but the computer keeps disconnecting on me because it takes so long. Plus the installation instructions are dismal at best. Sigh! Here I go!,,,,98

PKRWUD, Mac rules, it's just that no one knows it yet, hehehe!!

Thumbs down

No luck, shoot!! I got the "File has moved here " notation. I clicked on it, and the admin page showed up. Fine, I thought "SUCCESS!!" Well, I tried browsing for the photo, and that worked. I hit the add photo button, and got a "The form has been submitted, please don't hit the submit button again" alert pop up window. I clicked okay, but nothing happened. No loading, no movement, no change of pages I guess I'll have to d/l the latest Netscape version, GRRRRRR!!! Back to square one.,,,,,98

Yeah, but it's their loss, not ours!

The latest version of Netscape worked for me, but I will only use it for uploading pics here!

Take care,
-Chris
