It's not about scrolling, it's about courtesy.

That may get rid of the urge for some people to list every modd on their truck in their sig.
This is kind of where we're going with the 'garage' feature that I previously mentioned. Once implemented, some of the 'lengthy' signatures can be pushed into that feature of the site rather than spelling it out for all to see within every post.

In fact, the garage feature may enable us the ability to do away with signatures all together -- just a thought there; it's not a plan.

My point -- I really think that the garage feature may alleviate (or have the potential to alleviate) some of the signature woes.

Getting away with signatures would suck. Having pictures is nice. I like being able to put a truck to a name. There are quite a few similar names on here.

What if you made it 1 picture, at a maximum hight of 100, plus 3 lines of text.

100 pixels in height, is what, about the same height as 5 lines of text? So if they didn't want a picture, you could limit it to 8 lines of text.

Example Size One

Also if you see the generic icon for the Avatars, you can deselect that here as well. ( don't know if this is default on, or the members that had the question about it had turned it on ?? )
Yea but, I like seeing the sigs personally, just not huge ones. Since I have a problem with just one user's sig on this site, that manages to get away with a MONSTER signature and has to post it everytime, will the ignoring feature get all his posts out of the way ? I really don't care for his posts anyway.

Just curious, haven't tried that yet.

Technically it is supposed to be 500x100. Plus it is awful, you need a picture with your new trailer and wheels for an up to date sig

That would be User CP - Edit Ignore list, add then to the list.

It works! I like the way it works as well. It's to bad I have to do it this way, but it does work.

Thanks SSCULLY

Too bad it has to be done that way, but form follows function in terms of getting the job done.

I find it kept me out of trouble before.

Rednoved has the right idea. I'm not saying that just to get more people requesting sigs on my site, considering I don't make any money off of it. Doing away with sigs would make it a very bland looking forum IMO. Not everyone has a sig including their vehicle. Some like to have sports sigs, music, political, etc etc.

I know Stealth is gonna have that suckskins sig soon and I'll have to make myself a bills sig .

Just another thought or alternative to blocking a member entirely. We all know that Firefox's ABP works great to stop all the ads. I also use it for specific sigs that are either too large and\or annoying to me. This way, I can still see that particular members post, I'm just not subject to seeing their large\annoying sig in each and every one of their posts.
