Can the tool tips(post preview) be turned off as a user option? I find that feature distracting and mildly annoying(like me!). I only want to turn them off for me not for everyone. Thanks.

 

I agree. I find it distracting when trying to scan the list of threads and I have to keep moving my curser out of the way to eliminate the huge box that pops up. I did find that when using Firefox, the preview is only one line instead of an entire paragraph. It's still distracting though.
Just like Windows, after all these years running a computer I still get a little popup window when hovering telling be that the blue 'E' is for "Launch Internet Explorer Browser. Finds and displays information and Websites on the Internet". No chit, Cherlock. I spent weeks trying to turn off that option on my computer and never had any luck.

 

Add me to this list. Drives me nuts (well, more nuts then I am now)

I know Steve and RP read these, so.....it wont be long before we are heard.

 

VB calls it thread preview and its a global setting

I'm sorry, but those little previews are irritating as hell. They're really not needed. It's annoying to have to keep moving the mouse to try to keep them from appearing. Can't they be globally turned off?

 

I guess I'm a minority here...

It makes it considerably easier for me to navigate new threads to see if it has something of interest to me within the post rather than clicking, waiting for a load, and then scanning the post.

I like this new feature...
