Posting links not working?

When I post a link, I get the url tags around it, instead of it becoming a hyperlink.

See here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...5&pagenumber=2

That's using the vB Code buttons, and not manually typing the code in.

It's a clickable link for me. With web links, you really don't even need to use tags. The forum software automatically recognizes web addresses and adds the appropriate tags. I can type www. and it's automatically a link.

hmm... even in the post I linked?

That's weird... when I try to post the code, it works as a link. When I go to the post, it looks like source code from a text html editor.

This wasn't a clickable link in the other thread. I simply copied and pasted it here, so the code is typed correctly.

yeah, same thing happened to me. I tried to post what I saw by using the code tag, but it showed up as a link.

Weird.

That is bizarre. Hopefully some other eyeballs might be able to determine what the problem is. I cannot reproduce it. I copy/pasted exactly what you have and it created the link.

If you were to edit the thread, will it add the link?

already did that, same thing.

Originally, I just typed 'www.atchinsonford.net' and got the visible url tags surrounding it, and it wasn't underlined/hyperlinked.

So I went back and edited it to what you see there, still no link.

test...

www.atchinsonford.net

*EDIT* - I just posted again in that thread, same problem.

It works everywhere else though. Something askew in the forum settings for the dealer forum only maybe?

The links look fine here

Look in your profile settings for this
Use vBCode quick links on your message input screens?

see if it is YES or NO

It needs to be YES for your links to work
