Problem subscribing to threads

Problem subscribing to threads
When I post in a thread or make a new thread, and check my UserCP it is not listed as a subscribed thread.
Currently i have no subscribed threads, even when I click "view all"
on other boards I have used an option that lets me decide between Email notice and UserCP notice, but I couldn't find that option.
Any help is appreciated.

when you reply to a thread there is a check box for email notification
There is also a link at the bottom of every thread that says
Show Printable Version | Email this Page | Subscribe to this Thread
