"street racing" question for F150online administrator
I was wondering what F150online’s position is on “ Street Racing”. There seems to be an ever increasing number of videos being posted on this site showing vehicles racing down public streets and not on the track! Had I not been involved in an accident involving street racers in which a person was severely injured and a large amount of property damage was done, this probably would not bother me as bad. I know there is some great passion on this site expressing the love for speed, but I will warn you, there is also a great passion out there to protect the public from this type of behavior. Any input you could offer would be appreciated.
Thanks

However, and like J-150 I am not speaking for the Webmaster, it is basically impossible for anyone here to control what others may post about. I would say in many threads dealing with street racing there are post about how it’s not a smart thing to do and it never hurts to have another person posting that same view. Try not to be to condescending but just honest as to why you feel it’s not a very bright thing to do. Personal experiences go a long way sometimes in trying to convince those with developing brains…
Officially, our policy regarding street racing falls under our general terms and conditions regarding posting information about illegal activities, which is not allowed. A couple years back someone suggested a forum on the subject and it was not done.
However, due to the nature of some areas of this site, there are numerous threads on the subject. The reality is, with nearly 1.5 million messages on this board, we don't read each and every one of them, and rely more on those threads that are "reported" to us and then decide what sort of action to take.
