No, actually it seems like there is no gray matter here whatsoever. Selling is selling, don't do it here unless you have permission. Simple!

I can't believe that people want to get in a war of semantics.

You are looking to make a buck. Period.

You are attemtping to do it here. Period.

The forum rules state that this is not allowed without pre- approval of the webmaster (you know, the guy that pays the bills so this site is free to us). Period.

What is so difficult about this concept?

I had forgotten I replied to this thread until just now.

First off - Doug, wasn't trying to be a smart ***. Just was reading the rules as they were quoted, and it seemed like he was OK.

Webmaster: Sorry, didn't realize he may have accidently made a dollar or two(literally) in the making of those plaques. I read Doug's post that said, "In his mind he wasnt making any money on them so its OK to market them here."

I think it is nice when someone who has a special skill or talent wants to give back to the Lightning community something that is very niche. And while I respect that f150online has bandwidth bills to pay, I think it shouldn't be forgotten that none of this would exist without Ford's F150 - and that they seem to have left this site alone on using "f150" in the domain name.

FYI 98Cobra, it works both ways. The person that wants to promote their talents to "make a few bucks" wouldn't have a convenient and central location with hundreds of potential customers if it weren't for the hard-work and presence of F150online, NLOC, etc. Before our sites existed, it would have cost them money to promote a talent or SLOWLY gain attention through word of mouth. Now, it's easy to hang up a shingle and start promoting because of sites like this.

Another FYI, you clearly have no idea what is going on at Ford regarding this site or sites like it, so don't make any public assumptions without knowing the facts.

I recognized that - I know that many people look to this site for information, news, and other stuff, myself included.

I agree 100%. Are you implying there is somewhere I can read up on the facts, per se?

I know that many people look to this site for...other stuff
That other stuff, which includes vendors looking to make a quick buck (and there have been MANY of them), is exactly why we have the rules we do.
