Site Down?
Site Down?
Several times in the past couple weeks I have been unable to connect with this site early in the morning (from several different PCs). The last time was 4/3/03. Was it something on your end? Backups? Or whatever.
Just curious as to why I can't connect.
Thanks.

Here is a suggestion. Save as a 'Favorite' more than one way in. If the site is down it will not matter but, if the problem is just one part of the site (i.e Homepage) you may be able to bypass the problem.
I have a 'Favorite' for Home, Message Boards, Photo Galleries and Other Links. I at least try the others if one doesn't work.

Thanks for posting that link, Raoul. For the click-impaired, what it says is:
Server has been experiencing some problems since about 10pm last night, including intermittent outages and slow or non-functioning areas of the site, including the front page, classifieds and galleries. I hope to have everything back to normal within 24 hours of now.
Another Hint:
Along with reading this Forum and Site Announcements, I also search the posts of the Webmaster.
They are good source of the health of the site
(just have to sort through the 'Lightning Owner Beheading' threads)

Thanks for the info...nice to know it's not just me. But, I DID look in the "Announcements about this site" section and found nothing, which is where I expected a notice would be. It was the forums, also, not the galleries, etc.
