'98 XLT 4.6 4x4 Supercab w/62,000 miles. I've worked my truck hard; towing, hauling, offroading, you name it. Brake pads, shocks, and routine maintenance is all I've put into it, and it runs like a champ. Yes, I've had a few minor problems, but nothing that would make me think twice about sticking with Ford.
Besides, everybody knows that the F-150 is the best damn looking truck on the road, "no doubt about it!"

Co. that I work for has a 97, F-150 4 x 2 S/C, 4.6L windsor. Almost 190,000 miles and still going strong (delivery truck). Truck still has original rear brakes. Engine has had cold start engine knock since 37,000 miles. Only egine work: 1 tune-up @ 102,000 miles (they replaced the serpentone belt @ 102,000 miles). They replaced fuel filter @ 187,000 miles--engine quit running --1st. visit with a tow truck.!
Lower ball joints in frt. end were replaced @ 73,000 miles. New tires & front brakes @ 73,000 & 146,000 miles. If FOMOCO had installed grease fittings on the lower ball joints, ball joints would still be original. Hello, Ford people in Dearborn, Mi--You need to make the original lower ball joints greaseable on the 4 X 2!
Our Co. has a 94 Ranger with 2.3L, A/T that has the original engine (still runs excellent) that is close to 500,000 miles.
