Power Mirror Harness?

I havent had a chance to take the door panels off and look yet, but does anone know if the harness and connectors are in the door for power mirrors if the vehicle came with the standard non power mirrors? I want to convert to power, and Im hoping to get away with just buying 2 mirrors, a switch and the bezel and plugging in... thanks in advance..

Try looking in a door with power and see if the wiring is the same is yours. I'd look for ya but my mirrors are as powerless as yours. Buy a book for your truck. It will have wiring diagrams and pics to compare.

oh, I already have the book... problem is they do not outline what stays and goes per options. So, looks as if I am just going to have to take the door apart and see what is in there.

Nope. My old truck did not have power mirrors/locks/windows, and the only wires that went into the door were the two for the door speaker.

My new(er) truck has power everything, and the mirrors each have a two-prong round harness connector.

So if I were looking to add this feature beyond the mirrors and switch anyone know what I would need, and how difficult it would be to add?

running your own wiring is very easy,
I swapped power mirrors on to my 1990 Bronco when I swapped to the newer style front clip,
I have pics on my super motors page under my 1990 Bronco project,
the only thing you will need is a control switch with maybe 6" of wiring from the plug,
so you can splice into with your own wiring.
look in the bone yards for a cluster of control switches on the drivers door panel
or you may have to notch the part you already have to fit the switch into (it is easy, I had to dremel for my switch to mount).

Supermotors Page

Hopefully that helps
