OK I think all if not most of my front ball joints are shot now..it sound's nasty!
I havn't the slightest idea what need's to be replaced so I'm not going to attept it my self...I'm just going to take it to Sears, but I hate going to places and not know what I'm talking about so they don't take advantage of me,
sooooo what do I tell them I need to have replaced and how much do you guy's think something like this would cost?

BTW this is on a 4x2

KJeep away from Sears. They are theives, they fix things that aren't broken and charge you over the market price for the work since they invariably seem to find the problem after your truck is torn down and unable to be driven, making you more or less their captive. Find a reputable front end shop, you'll get better work for less money.

I'm with strangeranger on who you use, I had a very expensive sears encounter with front end work, since then I'm learning to do it myself. If I remember upper and lower ball joints will run about 100bucks per side if you do it yourself. Mine is a 4x4

yeah, it is an expensive thing. I did mine myself, and they suck to get out ( I had the big nasty air hammer and still had problems) But I would reccomend going to a dealership on something like this. Yes, it will cost you a little bit more but, if something goes wrong there is a nationwide service installed warrenty on them. (12/12 I believe)

I'm such a knuckel head....I just got a call from Sears and they said my truck is perfectly fine.

I put these stupid little rubber spring spacers in my front coil in an attempt to raise the front an inch, well I guess the side that was making the popping noise had the rubber spacers fal out and I didn't notice so the truck being un-even was making it pop.

I totaly forgot I put those in there too.
