Gripes... Just plain Gripes
Gripes... Just plain Gripes
I don't understand most people. Why is it that some people are so callous and thoughtless.....
In my 93 F150 Ext Cab, I have the captain chairs with the folding arm rests. The other day, I offer a ride to a neighbor, this neighbor is a large lad, pushing 350 pounds..... He opens the door, steps on the provided side rails, grabs the top of the door and spins in and sits down. He then moves the arm rest down, and proceeds to use it as leverage to hoist it fat butt up in the air so he can readjust his butt in the seat. In doing so, he snapped the arm rest and broke it.
He said, "Ford sure does make some cheap crap". I said no, they just don't make it idiot proof for Jabba the Hut...... The arm rest is what the name implies... a place to rest your arm.....Not a Body hoist....
I took the arm rest off, removed the cover and tig welded the broken aluminum plate back together. Cost me 2 hours and about 5 bucks in filler rod and argon gas, but the point was he did not say, sorry, or can I replace it....
