Gauge Cluster help

I'm having a custom gauge background made but I need to take out my cluster and remove the needles.
I know how to take my cluster out but is there a safe way to remove my needle's and be able to put them back on w/out any problems?

Anyone else interested with having some gauge backgrounds created send me an email at sprocket_xxx@hotmail.com and I'll see what this guy can do.

I havn't decided yet, he can put anything in the background, I think I might just do some good ole flames, along with my A/C face plate.

I don't know of a way to remove the needles, and still have the gauges be accurate afterwards, other than to attach a pair of needle nose vise grips to the shaft, and note the needle location before removing it.

I think I'm just going to pass on the gauge's then, I have to remove the needles and then scan the cluster so I'm sure I'd screw something up, I'll might just go to the junk yard for one I can tear up.

Sprocket,
When i did mine it was very easy.
I used a fork to remove the indicators. Nice even pressure and pop they came off. Just note where they pointed so when you reinstall it won't be a prob.
The speedo is spring loaded so keep your eye on that one.

Hope this helps.
