Ford Question But on my Windstar

I know this is for the F150 folks, but I have a 99 Windstar that is bothering me. Today, my wife starts it up to warm it up before the kids get in (41 degrees today) and after about 15 minutes they get in. The temp sensor reads normal, but the fan was blowing cold air. She checked the temp selector and it was on HOT and she moved it back and forth, as well as the position selector, NO go, just blows cold air. The temp meter reads in the middle like always. Any clue as to the problem

Thanks,

And BTW... My F150 is running like a top... Knock on WOOD.... But not PKRWUD.... LOL

can she hear the door move when she moves the selector? If she can, and everything else seems normal, try putting a pizza box in front of the radiator.

She said it makes no noticable noise when she moves the selector . Just the position of the air changes.

It is 65 degrees now and still blowing cold air.

Just talked to her again. She said she was moving the hot/cold dial around and then just like "That" she got hot air coming out.

Why?

[things I would check if this were my customer's car] Thermostat, and confirm correct blend door -hot/cold- operation, check coolant condition maybe heater core is clogging. 41 degrees isn't that cold. You should've had heat after 15minutes.
