For aftermarket I like bosch plugs, just get regular single electrode, don't waste your money on the duel platinum or +4's. In my opinion though, nothing beats oem replacement motorcraft plugs.

My '95 4.9 / 5 speed get's a raging hard on when it finds out I'm getting it a set of Champion Truck Plugs.

Get a new rotor and cap, too, but make sure they have brass contacts.

I have wonderful things to say about Taylor plug wires, too.

Take care,
~Chris

PKRWUD, I am getting ready to change out all my ingnition stuff. Would you recommend the Champion Truck Plugs for my truck, since its a 302? What kind of rotor/cap should I get? Will the ones at Autozone be good enough? And you also recommend me to change my plug wires ot the taylor ones, I have 73k miles on my truck.

The wires are okay, but the cap and rotor suck. MAKE SURE THE CAP AND ROTOR HAVE BRASS CONTACTS. It doesn't make any difference who makes them, as long as they're brass.

Champion truck plugs have been incredible with my 4.9, and I was turned on to them by a buddy with a 302 F150, so yeah, I'd recommend them for you.

I used regular autolites in my 302. Can't tell the difference between them or Champions.

Ok, an update, i put the plugs in, Champion Copper something.. Didn't get distr cap and rotor... not worried about that... got a new filter for the breather cap, and new vaccum hoses for on top of the intake manifold, they were weather cracked. But one problem, stupid check engine light keeps coming on and off?????

Start by checking the O2 sensor. If the plugs were OE with 140K then most likely the O2 sensor was never replaced...
