My new (to me) truck is getting healthier.
Just picked up a '95 F150 4.9L 6 this past weekend, and noticed that it was clunky and brakes were shot. Well this afternoon I put some new shocks all the way around on it and all of the clunking went away and it rides 100% better.
Tomorrow I'm putting new brakes on it and then on the weekend maybe I'll start looking if anything needs to be done to the engine.

Before I got new shocks the truck was floaty and bouncy which affected the handling and it was difficult to keep it going straight on a bumpy road. But these are the stock shocks that have been on the truck since new (110 k mi) After putting new shocks in the ride got alot better. Now the driving is much more controlled, but the shocks are not too stiff. The only truck that I have driven was my friends Dakota with RT springs in the rear and bilstein shocks all the way around. His truck feels alot stiffer than my.
Oh the shocks were about $22 a piece, and it took whole 45 minutes to put them on.
