Gotta do it anyway
I have to change the lower intake on my 92 5.0 Flareside and I figured I might as well check my heads while I'm there.
Then I thought, why not change the heads altogether? I have a set of late 60's "closed chamber" heads and was wondering if insalling them on my speed/density engine would harm my performance?
I have either a busted lower intake or blown intake gaskets so I have to get that far into the engine anyway and some info or advice would be appreciated since I've never made a mod on a computer controlled system before.
By the way, its an AOD (non-computer controlled) automatic.

I don't know if they will fit or not, but those 60's heads won't have egr so you would have to do away with that, which would make the truck illegal depending on where you live. If you have a friend with an inspectors license that always helps

I have the heads in my shed and they are very close to a match. They even have the place for the cross tube in the back as they are late 60's(possibly very early 70's) heads and they do have the EGR so its probably the latter.
The guy I got them from told me they were 60's and they're obviuosly closed chamber.
Being they have the EGR runner they aren't that old. This is the first I've actually inspected them.
With a little port matching they should work I think.
