POWERAID Throttle Body Spacers

Are throttle body spacers worth the money? Do they do anything? They claim 5-8 HP/13 ft lbs Torque, but are they worth $99.87?

I had a spacer on my truck for awhile, worked great. Then i bought a 56mm BBK throttle body and had to get rid of it on Ebay.It kinda acted like a restrictor with the bigger T/B.

I'm planning on buy that same TB so I guess I won't buy the spacer.

Thanks!

dvldog458,

So you're throttle body spacer really worked? I was close to buying one but I heard that they don't make much of a difference and weren't worth the money. I had the 56mm t.b. on but I put my stock t.b. back on so if you actually experienced an improvement with that, then I might consider getting one. I mean as mods. go, $100 is very inexpensive so even a little extra hp/tq is worth the money.

Has anybody ever seen a set of before and after timeslips which show an improvement from a Poweraid? I haven't and I suspect they don't exist. The seat-o-pants meter is worthless for such comparisons. Everybody wants to believe their new performance thingy works. More often than not it doesn't but they think it does because they want it to.

TF,
It's really hard for me to tell with small mods, being that my truck is so damn heavy.Strangeranger has a good point.Don't waste your money unless you can find one for a good price....i sold mine on Ebay for $50.
Give it a shot and see what you come up with.
