Get a set of roller rocker arms with a ratio of 1.70:1 (1.7 Roller Rockers), and headers/exhaust. That will put you in contention.

how much do a set of rockers go for? And they will really help out that much?

Ifi got headers I could get a reburn but it doesnt make that much of a difference. I'll either be a little rich or lean i can remember. But either way very little.

The PERFECT set for you would be the Crane Cams Energizer 1.7 Roller Rocker Set. Summit sells it for $189.95, and it includes everything you will need (minus gaskets). Part # CRN-44746-16

I guess for Christmas I'll get my parents to but me the Crane Rocker Arms and headers. Are the summit truck headers good. they are only $150 or somethin. and Ill buy under drive pulleys once school starts.

I took a look at the valve covers in my truck, and installing rocker arms looks like it could become very involved.... some pics

On 1 side i have all kinds of electronics over it ( this would be the easy side. The other side has the intake manifold hanging over it. Is the intake manifold easy to remove? This install looks like it would be an all weekend kind of thing.
