Underdrive pulleys and power loss??
Underdrive pulleys and power loss??
I have the towing package, so how many amps is the alternator, I thought it was 95 amps is it??? And right now I run a 400 watt amp, could I still run with this and something like March power and amp series pulleys?? Or will my headlights dim and stuff.
The amp draws 38 amps at its max.

1) Make sure your amp has some capacitors hooked up to it so it doesn't pull on the electrical system too much.
2) Replace your main battery cables with heavier gauge stuff, like welding cable. A lot of people have problems with the headlights dimming with power pullies and just by replacing the battery cables you can decrease the resistance enough to fix that problem.
I'm running a 2000 watt system, with power pullies on a 60 amp alternator. The headlights dim a little at idle, especially if i have all the auxillary lights on but it's not real bad, and i still have the stock batt. cables.

I dotn have a capacitor and right now I still charge very well. Did you really fell a differance after you installed the pulleys or do you think they werent worth the money?
