Speedometer Sensor

Can someone tell me where the speedometer sensor is at on a 92 F250. I am looking at buying one, but the speedometer dosent work.
Here is where it gets interesting. The factory 10.25 rear end has been swapped for a Dana 60. I was thinking the sensor is on the rear end, but the owner swears that it is on the transfer case.
Thanks

Pre 1992 Fords have the gear and cable set up on the tranny. 1992 and later use the rear abs sensor on the diff, according to my Haynes manual.

If the odometer is electronic then the sensor is, or rather was, in the differential housing.

The idiot who removed it also disabled the anti-lock brakes. Avoid that truck like the plague, there's no telling how much other stuff he "fixed"
