I've recently purchased a '96 F150 XL. Nice truck, but it seems to have too much play in the steering wheel - kinda sloppy. I would appreciate your thoughts!

Had the same problem, There is an adjustment screw on the top of the steering box. Turn the lock nut and turn the screw. You can tighten the response to the desired level and relock the nut.

It may also be bad steering parts, but if they all check out, just adjust the screw.
