Dude, that just plain sucks eggs! I really am sorry that happened to you! I'm just glad no one was injured in the process.

Take care,
~Chris
I appreciate the concern. we all survived and I am having a "glass" man look at the body. It is made of Carbon Fiber, but glass is much cheaper to repair with.
I kept telling them, Miller by the pool, not in the pool.

OK, I just got my radiator in the mail today..yippy!!
one slight problem...it has threaded holes in the plastic tube on the side the cap is on...i think they are for a tranny cooler but I don't have a tranny cooler, the holes came with threaded rubber pieces in them to keep them blocked but I doubt they would be able to handle the temp...would it be ok if I just went down to the hardware store and just stuck some bolts in it, I'm sure I can find ones that would fit.

Thats scary.....they are rubber....but i geuss I can see them just expanding as they get hotter and making a good seal, just a little scary because, just a few twist of them and you can see the insides of the tube. Thanks for the speedy response Chris...i need to go sleep now...I get to paranoid at night...need to take a few things to "asist" me in relaxing!

Huh?
Look, don't trust me if you don't want to, but forget bolts. It's the wrong type of thread. You'll need BRASS pipe plugs, but, like I said, there's nothing in there to leak out. Besides, the plastic plugs are designed to be left in.

As far as the plugs go, technically, you don't need anything there. They could be left open. It's better to leave the rubber plugs in, though, to keep the trans cooler from getting dirt in it. Someday you, or someone else, may want to install that tranny into a vehicle with an auto tranny.

AHHHH
Well the install was fine...this radiator was a hair bigger but nothing a rubber mallet wouldn't handle.
I'll find out Monday on my way home for work if it solved the problem.
You should have seen what came out of the old radiator when I took the hose to it....some sludgy brown/green stuff....looked like boogers.

You need to flush out the engine before you hook up the new radiator, or else you'll fill your new rad. w/ boogers, too. If they were in the old radiator, they're in the engine, too.
