Miss in Hot Weather(95' W/5.0)
I have a 1995 F-150 with the 5.0. I'm getting a miss at Idle in gear and when I apply a small amount of throttle at about 30-40 MPH,(Makes the truck jeck pretty bad), but only after I have driven for a while( Couple of Miles) and the outside temp get gets into the 90's or so. It drives fine in the morning when the temps are about 70-75 Degrees out. Replaced wires and plugs, Cap and Rotor and Oxygen Sensor. Could this be the coil or what?? I'm stumped at this point, as it always ran well until we got this heat wave! It has about 140,000 miles on it. Any help in what to check or change first would be appreciated! Thanks, Rick
First, make sure that the spark plug wires that go to cylinder #5 & #6 are not touching each other at all, from the distributor cap to the plugs.
Next, check for KOEO and KOER codes.
Take care,

Thanks for the advice! Will check codes and air senser. This is driving me crazy trying to narrow it down! Is there a way to test the air temp. senser other than replacing it? Thanks, Rick
Rough Above 90
I have the same problem, same year and engine. I have two tanks and it seemed to happen with rear tank only. I have about 84,000 miles. I had fuel filter changed and all pressures checked including injectors and they found nothing. I don't know if it is any better as I have been out of town since. I will let you know later.
