Just need to make sure when the gates open and the races start again. And you said $25 for the pit pass correct? Do the pit passes ever sell out or anything? And also do you have the address so I could get a map off of map quest?

 

Go HERE for directions. It's super simple. Just get on the 126 all the way till it ends. It will dump you onto the 101 north. 3 exits later is California Street. Get off there, and turn LEFT at the top off the offramp. You will cross over the freeway, and see the Holiday Inn and the beach right in front of you. Turn RIGHT. Go to the 4-way stop sign, stop, and then turn LEFT. Follow that road as it wraps around the fairgrounds. About 200 yards before the road ends, there will be an open gate in the chain link fence, and a person wanting money will be standing there. I think parking is $3, but I'm not sure. Pay them, park, and follow the crowd. Go 50 yards past the first ticket booth you see, and you will see another one. That is where you buy your pit pass. They cost $25, and there is no limit to how many they have. After they put on your wristband, walk through the gates, and look for the Orange #88 Sprint car. We'll be there somewhere. There have been horse shows going on every weekend for the past month and a half, and if there is one going on this week, then they will probably have us pit out in the parking lot, so look there first.

Look for that car, or that blue Chevy truck. If you find the truck, but the car isn't there, we're on the track. I'll be the big guy w/ beard & my hair in a ponytail, wearing a black apron and a camo ASE hat.

Pit gates open at 2pm and the racing starts at 6pm, but we're pretty busy from 4pm on.

I'm coming! No excuses! Wouldn't by any chance be short handed on a driver? I drive a baja bug also...looks about the same as the sprint car, how different could it be? LOL
